Band Camp Do’s and Don’ts!

Band Camp Do’s and Don’ts

DO

Bring lots of water

Bring lots of sunscreen and reapply throughout the day

Eat a healthy breakfast

Bring your music

Wear sunglasses and/or a hat

Bring a lunch or money to buy a lunch (you can walk to a nearby restaurant, or get a ride with friends/section members)

Wear tennis shoes (preferably not new), NOT sandals or flip flops

Bring snacks to eat during breaks

Freeze a wet towel in a ziploc bag the night before to help cool off during breaks

Buy a large refillable water bottle

Wear deodorant (hopefully this goes without saying…)

Attend Golden Ambassadors and summer sectionals if you are in town

Bring bug spray

Have fun

 

DON’T

Eat or drink any dairy

Show up late

Forget your instrument, equipment

Wear black or dark colored clothing

Drink lots of sugary drinks

Be afraid to ask question or ask for help
