Week 2: HHS vs. Centennial (August 21-25)
Monday: No school, no rehearsal, Happy Eclipse Day, don’t stare at the sun
Tuesday: rehearsal 3:15-4:30
Thursday: rehearsal 3:15-4:30
Friday: HOME game!
Pep Rally during day (sorry 8th graders, you’ll have to wait); you will play: Fight Song, All I Do Is Win, Rocky Top, I’m So Glad, Alma Mater…every pep rally, every time, all the time.
Dress: Band shirt; khaki shorts or pants; tennis shoes; you need all stands music!
Arrive, get equipment: 5:53
Move to Memorial Garden, play Irish Blessing: 6:15
Move to track in pre-game block (shown to you this week)
Pre-game (on track): 6:45 consists of the Star Spangled Banner
Post-game: Alma Mater (played in the stands)
put things away, check out procedure!
(see your section leader before you leave; section leaders see a director before you leave)
After game: put your equipment, etc. away; your section leader will dismiss you when things are properly put away and your area is clean; section leaders you will report to a director when all equipment is put away an all of your section members have gone home (you are then dismissed).
*Parent pick up: DO NOT PARK IN THE ROAD THAT LEADS UP TO THE LOADING DOCK! IT BECOMES A HUGE TRAFFIC MESS AT HOME GAMES AND YOU WILL BE BLOCKING BUSES AND OUR SEMI ON AWAY GAMES WHICH WILL DELAY YOUR CHILD FROM LEAVING! PICK UP IN THE FRONT PARKING LOT OF THE SCHOOL IS THE ONLY PLACE WE CAN MONITOR! DO NOT PARK OR PICK UP FROM ANY OTHER AREA!
*make sure you call and/or arrange rides home following all events! It is very inconsiderate to make student leaders and directors wait 30 minutes to an hour for you to be picked up! Plan ahead; we will always give you approximate arrival times and students may call you to let you know of any delays.
